Groucho's Story...
This fine man is Groucho, he is a terrier (Jack Russell?) about 20 pounds. It took him a little while to get comfortable and socialized here but now he gets along well with other dogs and people wonderfully. He likes to hang out while we work and stay close, unless he is off playing with some of the other dogs. He would make a great companion for just about anybody. He is neutered, up to date on vax and on heart worm prevention. His adoption fee is $75 which goes toward saving another dog in need.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Groucho, a Columbia Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Columbia, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
