Riggs's Story...
Meet Riggley, also known as "Riggs." Riggs is a one-year-old male pit mix. He is about 55 lbs currently, but he could stand to gain a few more pounds. Riggs' was found as a stray, so his past is unknown, but someone must have taught this boy how to love and show affection, because that is his greatest talent! He has the ability to make EVERYONE feel as if he loves them best! If given the invitation, Riggs will slither into your lap, wrap his paws around you and shove his head into your armpit and cuddle until your legs fall asleep! Riggs' foster family includes a human teenager and 6 month-old baby. Riggs also lives with a 5-year-old female pit mix whom he adores. Riggs is amazingly gentle with children and has been a perfect gentleman around the baby. Riggs has loved every dog he has met so far, he is a very playful guy when it comes time to playing with other dogs, so sometimes he does have to be reminded to calm down and sit for treats to give his playmate a rest :) Depending on the cat's personality Riggs may also do ok in a home with cats, we have introduced him to two cats so far and he laid down for each of them, he avoided eye contact, acting as if they might swat him and hurt him! If your family has cats, we would be glad to help with an introduction to see if Riggs and the cats might be able to be friends. Riggs is 100% potty-trained, but he still has a tendency to want to chew or eat things he shouldn't when you are not paying attention, so he will need to be kenneled while you aren't home. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Riggs, a House Springs American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in House Springs, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in House Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in House Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a House Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in House Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
