Goliath's Story...
Goliath is a 4 year old un-neutered Chihuahua whose owner could no longer care for him. He will be available for adoption on May 8th after 6pm; however applications are now being accepted. It is reported that Goliath lived with teenage children, but his behavior with younger children is not known. He is good with other dogs, but he has not been around cats. Goliath loves to go for rides with his family. Being un-neutered he needs work on house training, but that is easy with consistency and patience.

If you want to apply for Goliath click here. You can then email the application to the Meridian Humane Society.Applications are now being accepted, and a visitation with the dog is encouraged. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Goliath, a Meridian Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
