Kellogg's Story...
A lot can happen in seven months. I know because I have been through a lot in my short 7 months of life. I don’t like to talk about it much, I'd prefer to focus on the future. I would really just love for someone to show me what support and stability mean. You could call me timid and shy, but I have never really had anyone show me any different. Being so young I know I have a whole life ahead of me, and I am ready to get started! I am a real lover and I promise to dedicate myself to whomever gives me the time, patience and understanding I yearn for. I want to learn to be part of a family. I want a family who will love me unconditionally, I want another dog to play with or well mannered, gentle children to cuddle with, I want lots of training so I can learn how to be the best dog ever. I am learning crate training here and I'm proud to day I've got the hang of it. The only thing I am not ready to learn is how to live with cats…nope not interested. But I am open for everything else you'd like to teach me. Let me show you what I have to offer and I will offer you my forever love and companionship. 7 months old-38lbs. My adoption fee is $220 and includes; neuter, microchip, reduced cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kellogg, a Portland Labrador Retriever/Field Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Field Spaniel for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Field Spaniel dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Field Spaniel breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Field Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
