Casper's Story...
While I am a little older than most, what I lack in youth, I make up for in good looks. I am very tall and handsome, and in great shape, especially for my age. Unlike my younger counterparts, I really just like to go outside a few times a day on short walks, eat, and sleep. I am also known for laying my head in your lap at any given opportunity, since most Weims like to be around their humans. My eyesight and my hearing have gone a little bit, but I still get along well and don’t bump into walls or anything. But if you need my attention, you need to be within 5’ or so. I get along well with all of my other foster brothers and sisters too, except that sometimes I may not see or hear them getting near, and when I notice them, I bark at them. Not because I’m grumpy, just because I get a little startled. I would love a home where I can be able to just relax and live out the rest of my life so if you have an easy-going lifestyle with easy-going home, I think I could be the perfect easy-going dog for you! If you agree, please contact my foster mother at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Casper, a Sarasota Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in Sarasota, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in Sarasota.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sarasota already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sarasota breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sarasota paves the way for another one to be saved.
