Sugar's Story...
My name is Sugar and I was named so well...my foster Mom says I am as sweet as they come! I really have no bad habits. I get along with all other dogs; people; kids; but just no cats please. I can be an only dog or with the others. The only thing I do is jump a little bit when you get home, but I am working on that. And besides...it's just because I will be happy to see you when you get home! I can be left out by myself without getting into trouble. My foster mother says I am one of the best she has ever had! If you contact her, you can meet me and give me the opportunity to prove her right! You can reach her at melanie.lehmann@bdrr.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sugar, a Sarasota Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in Sarasota, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in Sarasota.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sarasota already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sarasota breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sarasota paves the way for another one to be saved.
