AXEL's Story...
Axel is a schnauzer/terrier mix that is approximately a year and a half old. He was rescued from a high kill shelter in Moreno Valley literally hours before he was scheduled to be euthanized.

Axel's foster mom says Axel is one sweetheart of a dog. He is mellow, has a gentle spirit and is eager to please. He learned to sit in one day and is potty trained. One time the door was left open and he ran out but stayed in the front and came when he was called(he doesn't want to lose his home again). He walks well on leash, is good with other dogs and good with kids. The kids he has met are around 8 years old but he will likely be good with even younger kids since he is gentle and not pushy. He looks to his people for direction and all it takes is one shhh for him to stop and seek direction. He wants to be in the same room as his people. He sits near your feet when working on the computer or off in the corner when doing dishes. He wants a family to love and will do best with people who will make him part of the family.
We require an application, home check, contract, spay/neuter or deposit (if too young for spay/neuter at time of adoption) and adoption donation. AXEL 's adoption donation is $250.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

AXEL, a Salt Lake City Schnauzer (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Salt Lake City, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Salt Lake City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salt Lake City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salt Lake City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salt Lake City paves the way for another one to be saved.
