My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cosmo is a handsome 7 year old, who was originally adopted from Infinite Hope as a kitten. He is incredibly sweet and loves to come for cuddles on the couch and in bed. He is also a little shy and timid- he likes to have a little "nest" of his own, so that he can come out for companionship when it is calm. Even his purr is shy- it is very quiet, but when you hear it, you know that you have earned it and he is truly happy. He gets along well with our other cat and they like to sleep curled up together.

Unfortunately, Cosmo is not fond of our two children, who are 5 and 3. He is scared by the noise that they make and intimidated when they run up to try and pet him like they do our other cat. He has become so stressed by his interactions with them that he has taken to hiding in a "nest" and only venturing out when everyone is asleep. We love him enough that we want him to be happy, and after trying a number of solutions over the last 5 years, we are realizing that he will never be happy in this situation. We think that he could flourish again in an adult-only household, where he could love someone without having to be afraid. Cosmo would most likely get along with other cats, as he does with ours, but cannot be with kids or dogs.

Please consider giving this sweetheart the calm home he deserves. He is healthy, neutered, FELV/FIV negative, and up-to-date on vaccinations.
