Bubba-Prison Dog's Story...
Bubba here! He's a 2 year old Boxer/Terrier mix that was surrendered to the shelter because his family was moving. Bubba lived with kids and another dog. His family described him as friendly and active. He loves to run and loves his toys. Sounds like if you're looking for a running partner or have an active family, Bubba's your boy! Hurry on down to Friendship and check out this perky pooch!

Bubba was found to be heartworm positive. He is now going through treatment and at the same time being trained at the Grafton Correctional Institution. This Prison Dog will be trained in obedience, basic commands, manners and leash training. Bubba will remain at the prison between 8-12 weeks. Once he returns, he will be a healthy trained Prison Graduate. Bubba left for training at the end of March.

If you are interested in adopting Bubba, adoption applications are now being accepted. They can be downloaded at www.friendshipapl.org. but must be hand delivered to the shelter. If you have any questions please call the shelter at 440-322-4321. A limited amount of adoption apps are taken on each Prison Dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bubba-Prison Dog, a Elyria Boxer/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Boxer/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Boxer/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
