Jupiter's Story...
Jupiter will 5 years old on May 12. He is a standard chocolate doxie weighing in at 32 pounds. He should probably be closer to 20. He is on a diet and exercise routine and will hopefully continue to shed the weight so he can live a long happy and healthy life. He is good with other dogs, cats, and kids, as long as they are gentle with his back. Doxies tend to get spinal injuries if they do a lot of jumping off furniture or down stairs, so a home with few stairs and where he will not be jumping down much is best. He loves to sing. He has his own playlist which includes: You are so Beautiful, Your Song, Nothing but a Hound Dog, I could go on. He loves squeaky things. He loves to roll in the grass. He is a total sweetheart and a happy guy. He is looking for his forever home who will take him on a daily walks and love him to pieces like he deserves..Please complete a statement of interest at if you think Jupiter would be the right match for you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jupiter, a Bellingham Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
