Dakota in MD's Story...
Dakota is a black and tan cocker spaniel boy who was turned in to a shelter in North Carolina - his owners were moving and decided not to take Dakota with them. How devastating for Dakota to lose his family! CSAC rescued Dakota from the shelter and are currently tending to his medical needs, which will include neutering. We are committed to finding this little boy a home where he will not be discarded anymore.

It is apparent that Dakota needs to be an only dog in his new home since he does not like other dogs. We do not know why, but he may have had a bad experience with another dog in his past. But we do know that Dakota is reported to LOVE people. He seems to be content with just hanging out with his human buddies. He has won the hearts of the staff at the veterinary hospital - they think he is one cool dude! In fact, Dakota walks around like he owns the place. He loves playing "greeter" to anyone and everyone who comes into the vet clinic.

If you think that Dakota may be your guy, please fill out an application so that he can hang out with you for the rest of his life.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dakota in MD, a Westminster Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Westminster, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Westminster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westminster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westminster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westminster paves the way for another one to be saved.
