Annabelle's Story...
Beautiful 4 yr old Annabelle with her rough coat, soft eyes and good nature has been here for months recovering from surgery for a broken hip after she was hit by a car. Tall and elegant Annabelle is sweet natured.

Annabelle's owners were unable to have the costly surgery done and turned her over to their vet. When Annabelle arrived here, she went immediately to the vet for her surgery. Her hip was pinned and the prognosis was complete recovery. Although the hip healed well, too much cartilage grew and the pin slipped, requiring its removal. This has left Annabelle holding up her hind leg. The Vet thinks she will eventually put weight on it and occasionally she does. She is not in pain and can live a happy life even if the leg does not become weight bearing. Tall and elegant Annabelle is sweet natured despite sometimes putting Indy, her roommate, in his place. She may be happiest as the only pampered pooch in the house. Annabelle needs a securely fenced yard and lots of love.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Annabelle, a Rhinebeck Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Rhinebeck, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Rhinebeck.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rhinebeck already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rhinebeck breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rhinebeck paves the way for another one to be saved.
