Stark's Info...

I am already neutered, in need of an experienced adopter, and up to date with shots.

Stark's Story...
Stark is an exuberant 1-2 yr old dog with an incredibly good nature. We believe he is a Jack Russell mix, a tad taller than a JRT with an undocked tail that has a mind of its own, sometimes curled and sometimes straight.

Stark came to us from Animal Control after being picked up as a stray while following a fast moving car down a back road. Animal Control thinks he had just been abandoned. AC only keep dogs for 6 days and rarely brings one to unless they think it's a really good dog. Even the stern officer said Stark is so good he would hate to destroy him. Stark has gotten along with every dog here and every person he has met. He is a happy guy and if anything he only needs a few lessons in manners to bring him to the status of a good family pet. However, since his history is unknown we do not wish to put him in a home with very young children or cats. He is clean in the kennel indicating that he may be house trained. Stark is a diamond in the rough. We all love him!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stark, a Rhinebeck Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Rhinebeck, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Rhinebeck.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rhinebeck already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rhinebeck breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rhinebeck paves the way for another one to be saved.
