Mary's Story...
Mary DSH Spayed Female Dark Tortishell fully vetted. Est. DOB 10/03/12. Mary and her Sister Maria were rescued from a feral colony in Morganton where they had been abandoned. Shy, but far from feral Maria and Mary are both rather quiet girls but we expect in a loving home with more one on one attention than they get in Foster Care they will blossom into snuggle bunnies. They don't expect much, but when you hold them they can really purr. They are a bit afraid of loud voices, and tend to hide when there is a lot of noise in the house. They play nicely together and like to explore their surroundings. We would love to see them go together if possible. Don't you need a sweet girl to brighten up your life?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mary, a Morganton Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Morganton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Morganton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Morganton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Morganton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Morganton paves the way for another one to be saved.
