My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This very pretty young lady is around 2 years old, is Large/Medium in size, walks on a leash, sits when asked, she appears to be a sweet & loving young lady, very alert, pretty well mannered, happy, playful and is a special girl that is in need of a family to love.

A VOLUNTEER WANTED TO ADD:

Today I took Perky Pattie to the Mine for a walk. Our first fifteen minutes in the car and on the trail were challenging---Patty didn't know what was expected of her! After a few minutes of correction and communicating good behavior, it was as though a switch was thrown---she became a perfect little lady. I found that she responds really well to praise---this girl wants to please. She walked nicely on the leash, and learned to curl up in the car for a nice ride. This is one smart Pattie-cake! She is VERY social---wanting to meet and greet every person we met. This is definitely a people-dog. She responded well to other dogs on the trail, exhibiting no aggression, but did get a bit excited and wanted to play. We met up with a large retriever, and Pattie sniffed, then licked, his nose, mouth, and ears—I think he found her irresistible. She virtually ignored the horses on the trail, but did want to chase a squirrel. I would recommend a forever home without cats for this energetic gal. I took her by the wood yard where a number of friends were gathered----she was a definite hit. She loved everybody, and everybody was absolutely smitten with her. Again, she was very well behaved, no jumping, no barking, no pulling on the leash. Several folks remarked about her beautiful markings and her compact size. She is very affectionate and no doubt hopes to become someone’s lap dog! Pattie is a charmer and I'd love to take her out again unless some lucky family takes her home first!!
