Alabama's Story...
Alabama is a black, 5-to 6-year-old, neutered male, Lab mix who weighs 58 pounds. Blind in both eyes, this sweet boy is constantly bumping into things, but it doesn't phase him a bit! Once out in the open, he walks well on a leash, and is aided if his handler knows to talk to him and helps him steer clear of obstacles. Loves other dogs and would be a great companion for a compassionate owner. He'll even offer to shake with the camera :-)

Alabama loves cats, dogs and people and is always ready with a smile. He has a great disposition and deserves a safe, secure home. He will do well in a setting that has some safe outdoor area for him to roam, and some stable inside space where he can learn the lay of the land.

The adoption process begins with an application. Email krobison@cnz.com and we'll send you an application and/or answer any questions you might have.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alabama, a Brookville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Brookville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Brookville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brookville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brookville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brookville paves the way for another one to be saved.
