Max's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, and up to date with shots.

Max's Story...
Max in a one and a half year old Lab/Shepherd mix. He lived with teens, but his first family mostly kept him tied up in their yard. He would get bored and manage to get free, so he was given up to the town's Animal Control Officer. He is a young dog and has lots of energy. He is a happy and very friendly guy and enjoys all the walks he is getting with our volunteers. He is willing to please and food motivated, so he should be easy to train. He isn't neutered yet, but will be before he goes to a new home.

If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our dog adoption application. Our dog adoption fee is $350. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash and a month's worth of heartworm preventative.

With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.

All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have one employee. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Medfield Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Medfield, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Medfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Medfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Medfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Medfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
