My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Max in a one and a half year old Lab/Shepherd mix. He lived with teens, but his first family mostly kept him tied up in their yard. He would get bored and manage to get free, so he was given up to the town's Animal Control Officer. He is a young dog and has lots of energy. He is a happy and very friendly guy and enjoys all the walks he is getting with our volunteers. He is willing to please and food motivated, so he should be easy to train. He isn't neutered yet, but will be before he goes to a new home.

If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our dog adoption application. Our dog adoption fee is $350. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash and a month's worth of heartworm preventative.

With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.

All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have one employee. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.
