Foxy's Story...
From Foxy's Rescuer: Jody my daughter found Foxy at the end of last summer. It was at the last of the very hot temperatures for the summer. She was found on a gravel road. She was so weak she was drug herself around - the hair was rubbed off her tummy. Jody brought her home and did not think she would live through the night. She took her to the vet. Had shots and was spayed. She gets heart worm tablets monthly. She has lived with Jody and her other dog a lab, Dolly. She gets along we'll with Dolly. The love to run, play and chase each other. She loves attention and will crawl and sit in your lap. I don't think she has been exposed to cats. Does well with dogs. Loves my two grandchildren!! They let her lick them in the face!! Oh yuck!!!
Foxy should be about a year old. This sweet baby deserves a great forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Foxy, a Glastonbury Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Glastonbury, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Glastonbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Glastonbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Glastonbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Glastonbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
