Tugger's Story...
Hi! I’m Tugger, a Jack Russell Terrier mix about 3 years old. I am up to date on shots, microchipped, house trained and crate trained. Playing with stuffed toys, chasing balls and meeting new people, especially kids are my favorite things to do. Sometimes I do “tug” on the leash, but my foster mom is helping me work on my skills. I already know sit and come, and am super smart! My tail is long and curled (not short like real Jack Russell’s), but I think mine is cuter! I love to curl up in bed at night with my foster parents and snuggle. Having someone home with me would be ideal but certainly not a requirement. So if you are looking for a young adult dog that has a cute puppy face, check me out! I am looking for my forever home and am being fostered in Hanover, PA. www.ophrescue.org/dogs/2000

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tugger, a Hanover Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Hanover, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Hanover.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hanover already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hanover breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hanover paves the way for another one to be saved.
