My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This darling little girl is Lily, a purebred Yellow Lab. It was with much sadness that she was surrendered to Ugly Mutts when it was found that a family member had severe allergies to her. She was raised in the home with a disabled teen who will miss her dearly. Lily was very gentle and understanding with the boy and the two had bonded strongly. Lily is just 5 months old.

Lily is a typical young Lab. She is friendly and loving with everyone she meets. She loves to play fetch and whatever other games you might like to play with her. She is great with other dogs and has been socialized and does very well with cats.

Of course as she is a puppy, Lily is going to need further training and a family interested in taking her to obedience classes would be a plus. She does know her basic commands such as sit, come and down. She responds very well to positive reinforcement. She is currently learning good doggie manners such as not jumping up and of course is too young to be left unsupervised in the home as of yet.

She is well on her way to being completely house trained. She is crate trained and does sleep in her crate at night and whenever her family is out of the home. She is extremely affectionate with people and if someone is not feeling well she will sit with them for the entire day giving them lots of loving.

Lily would be very well in a family environment and would be an excellent family companion. She does need a home where there is someone available to continue with her training and a backyard to play in with a good walk each day would be ideal for her. She is learning to play tug of war and enjoys being included as part of the family.

If you would like to give Lily the perfect new home, please submit an application for consideration.
