Midas's Story...
I was rescued from DuPage County Animal Control where my last owner surrendered me for being too playful. I love to play, love wet food, and even love watching football. I'm a huge fan of playing with other cats and watching the sun go down out your window. I am being fostered with a loud shitzu dog and we get along just fine. I even like children - sounds like a plus for parents! St Sophia's saved me from being put down and now I am looking for that special family to watch football games with this fall! Not just for one night, but forever!

Midas is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated against distemper and rabies, combo-tested negative for FIV/Leuk, and treated for all parasites.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Midas, a Addison Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Addison, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Addison.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Addison already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Addison breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Addison paves the way for another one to be saved.
