My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there! My name is Dudley and I am in search of a furever home. My life up until now has been a rollercoaster ride of heartbreak and instability. It has left me a little shy and nervous with new people and situations. But, my foster family has shown me how to feel safe in the world and not be so afraid, which is my biggest problem. Although it takes me a bit of time to warm up to new people, once I know you, I bond quickly and learn to trust. I would love to find an active family that will give me exercise and make me a part of their lives. You see, I am only 3 or 4 years old (and weigh about 25lbs.), so I enjoy playing and running around. I am extremely driven to please my people, and love to get affection and TLC too!! I would even be willing to share my new home with lower key dogs that do not play too rough or are over assertive/domineering. Oh, and cats are ok too! One more thing you should know - I do all basic commands (sit, lay, stay, come, heal, etc.) and even know some tricks (paw, fetch, "be shy").

I know that I can be a wonderful pet, if someone is willing to take a chance on me and give me a forever home. However, I need a family that understands I need special care and tenderness. After all, I did have a really rough start. My foster parents have had great success with my rehabilitation, but it took much work, commitment, and persistence. If you would like more information on adding me to your family, please contact my foster mom, Rebecca, at bnbpetcare@yahoo.com or 440-829-3808. She can tell you all about me and set up a visit!
