Oliver Adoption Pending's Info...

Oliver Adoption Pending's Story...
Oliver and his brother Stan were rescued from a high kill shelter after being dropped off there as owner surrenders. We sent a rescuer down there to grab them before euthanasia was to begin because as owner surrenders, they were at risk of being the first to be put down. We put them in two different foster homes after discovering that while the both like some other dogs, they do not particularly like each other! Stan has already been adopted and now Oliver says that it's his turn!

Oliver is about 5 years old. He is a friendly little guy but does tend to bully dogs smaller than himself. To be on the safe side, we will only be adopting Oliver out to a home where he can be the only dog there.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oliver Adoption Pending, a Jackson Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Jackson, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Jackson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jackson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jackson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jackson paves the way for another one to be saved.
