Stachshe's Story...
Stachshe is a female cat who was rescued at 3 months of age from an animal hoarding situation. She is black and white with a mustache (yes she has a mustache - it is not photoshop) that gives her personality. She didn't get much attention from her owner so she is shy and jumpy until she settles down. She doesn't like to be held or sit on my lap but will rub around my leg and sit next to me on the floor as I pat her. She loves to play with toys and will jump up really high to get the toy. I think that she will warm up as she receives love and affection in her forever home. She was born September 2012, is spayed, up to date with her vaccinations, negative for FIV/Felv and is litter box trained. UPDATE: Stachshe has a new kitty friend in her foster home named Bella. It would be great if they could be adopted together.
Please note: All cats and kittens require an on-line adoption application be completed and sent BEFORE consideration for adoption can take place. On-line applications at www.BillericaCatCareCoalition.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stachshe, a N. Billerica Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in N. Billerica, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in N. Billerica.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in N. Billerica already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a N. Billerica breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in N. Billerica paves the way for another one to be saved.
