Oscar's Story...
Hi! I'm Oscar, a 1-year-old boxer mix. I absolutely love being around people! Many dogs my age are rambunctious, but not me. I have my moments when I get bursts of energy, but most of the time I like just hanging out with people. If my new fur-ever home has cats, I have good news – I get along with cats! My only request is that my new fur-ever home is free of children. Kids make me a little nervous and I prefer not to be around them. All of my vaccinations are current, I'm parasite-free, and neutered. If you're looking for a four-legged friend to hang out and enjoy life with, then make an appointment to meet me! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oscar, a Elmwood Park Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Elmwood Park, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Elmwood Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmwood Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmwood Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmwood Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
