Lager's Story...
Zeke and Lager are two 5 month old puppies that were pulled from a rural kill shelter right as their time was up. Unfortunately right after leaving the shelter both puppies got sick and spent several weeks in ICU. But true fighters, the kids made it and are ready for their forever home.

Both Zeke and Lager are a little timid, but have made great strides in foster. They do awesome with other dogs and cats and are very gentle with children. Neither dog has a mean bone in their body. They are crate trained and working on housebreaking.

They are neutered, UTD on all shots, HW neg, chipped, and fully vetted. Their adoption fee is $200. To apply fill out an application at www.fidosrescueandrehab.petfinder.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lager, a Lancaster Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever for sale in Lancaster, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever puppy from a breeder in Lancaster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lancaster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lancaster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lancaster paves the way for another one to be saved.
