Hi! My name is Silas! I am a 5yr old, male, neutered, Rat Terrier mix. I was found as a stray dog and dropped at OC Animal Shelter. When my owners never came to find me, my time to find a new home had run out fast. I was very close to euthanasia when The PRC found me. I was scared and shy at the shelter and was not showing my true personality. Now that I am back at the pet rescue center, I feel safe, loved, and much happier than before. I love going on walks, playing with my buddies and meeting new nice people at events. I am going to be the perfect dog for the right family. I am quiet, mellow, cuddly and very smart. I have a clean bill of health and a lot of love to give. I am hoping someone will take the chance to see me so I can show them just how special I really am. Please come down and meet with me today! I could be the right boy for you!
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email Casey Oliver at adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pets from high kill shelters and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
