My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Doc! I was rescued from OC Shelter after living there for 2 months! The volunteers were desperately hoping I would be adopted or rescued before euthanasia because I was one of the sweetest boys there. I was always overlooked because of scars on my face. Maybe people thought it made me look tough? I am far from it! the Dr thinks these scars look very similar to cat scratches. I have loved every minute of life since coming to The PRC. I LOVE my toys and play time. I would be very happy being a dog indoors with you. I like to cuddle and be cuddled back. I don't mind other dogs or cats if they are nice to me, but I would prefer to have all the attention. I am already neutered, chipped and up to date on all of my shots. I am ready to find a good home! Please come visit with me today!
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email Casey Oliver at adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.

All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: http://www.thepetrescuecenter.org/adoptapet.html. Completed applications can be faxed to 949-768-5759 or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org

Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.

The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pets from high kill shelters and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
