Ozzie's Story...
Ozzie's about 4 years old, 70 pounds, and a big teddy bear. He's very loving and affectionate and pretty mellow. This boy is a homebody who would like nothing more than to just hang around with his people. He likes to play, but he's not some super-energetic puppy, so a walk and a little game of tug with a rope toy or chase with a tennis ball will satisfy his exercise needs. Ozzie's rather fearful, and small kids with their quick movements are kind of scary to this big lug, so he'd be best with adults or kids over 12. Ozzie was rescued from a high-kill pound and has been stuck in boarding too long! Do you have room in your home and heart for a teddy bear in a dog suit?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ozzie, a Valley Springs American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Valley Springs, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Valley Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Valley Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Valley Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Valley Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
