Connie's Story...
Connie, short for Constance, is true to her name--a constant source of love! Connie came to us after spending weeks in a shelter where her true colors (ok, yes she is all white) were not able to shine! She is now in a foster home and fills her foster mom with laughter every day. She goes crazy for toys and will play catch with herself for hours. Connie thinks she is a lap dog--and once she gives you those sweet eyes, there is no resisting it!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Connie, a Baton Rouge American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
