Maya's Story...
Ok so where to start... Well I will start off by saying that if I didn't have such a full house I would keep her myself. Maya is a beautiful Italian style Cane Corso. She came to rescue underweight and already over bred in her young adulthood. She is learning manners, but it is hard sometimes to not let her get away with things since she is just a big goofball. She does well with my dogs male and female, although just for safety concerns we prefer to not place with same sex. My son and I affectionately call her the "freight train" as she comes out of her crate and runs off a little steam after we get home. She will accidently run over your toes as she tries to do a run by greeting on her way outside to potty. She is very affectionate and has to see what you are doing all the time. I haven't tested her around the cats yet, but can if someone has cats and is interested. She is crate trained and housebroken, uses the dog door. She can be a little on the sensitive side as most mastiffs are, and does not like it when reprimanded or if voices are raised (but I don't know many dogs that do :)). She plays with some toys and almost has the idea of fetch down. Once she has had her jog around after coming out of her crate and playing some with the other dogs she calms down and just wants to hang out and watch tv or just lay down by you. Maya would like to meet that special someone to take her home and add her to their family now that she is at a good weight, regained her shape and more outgoing. Are you her new family member? P.S. she loves to have at least one other dog around to play with, but it isn't required.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maya, a Las Vegas Cane Corso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cane Corso for sale in Las Vegas, or seeking a Cane Corso dog from a breeder in Las Vegas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Las Vegas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Las Vegas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cane Corso breeders who help with Cane Corso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Las Vegas paves the way for another one to be saved.
