Taylor's Story...
Taylor is a 6 month old spayed female Border Collie/Cattle Dog blend who came to the shelter as a stray. Taylor is a sweet girl who thrives on attention, both giving and accepting. She is a little on the timid side because of lack of socialization, but will blossom with someone willing to be patient with her and socialize her. She will need an active family to keep her stimulated so she doesn't become bored.

If you want to apply for Taylor click here. You can then email the application to the Meridian Humane Society.Applications are now being accepted, and a visitation with the dog is encouraged. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Taylor, a Meridian Border Collie/Cattle Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Cattle Dog for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Border Collie/Cattle Dog puppy from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Cattle Dog breeders who help with Border Collie/Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
