If you’re looking for a cuddle buddy with lots of personality, you must meet Banjo! A lanky, one-year-old, 15-pound miniature pinscher mix, Banjo is playful, energetic, and incredibly loving and snuggly. He’s tall like a min pin, but his face is something else – puggle? Terrier? Check out that cute underbite!
A very easygoing, responsive and intelligent dog, Banjo is housetrained and eager to please his humans. He can already sit, lie down, shake, roll over for belly rubs and use the dog door, and he’ll even do that most rare of tricks: ignore a dog treat when told to “leave it.” Wow! He’d prefer to sleep in bed with his people, but he’s crate-trained and will also sleep in a dog bed. Banjo is however still working on his leash manners.
Banjo is great with humans of all sizes and ages, even toddlers. He loves playing with dogs under 30 lbs. or so, but he doesn’t care for larger dogs; he may warm up to them, but he’d much rather have a smaller companion. He could be an only dog, but a brother or sister would be nice; he doesn’t discriminate between the sexes. He also seems fine with cats.
Like all dogs, Banjo wouldn’t like to live with someone who is gone much of the time, but he’s self-sufficient and not a huge barker, so people with regular schedules would be okay, especially if they hired a mid-day dog walker. Banjo would really, really love a yard, but it’s not a deal-breaker.
