I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Pilot is a two-year-old, 41-pound, smart, snuggly, affectionate and sweet, male yellow lab-mix looking for a loving guardian.
Pilot landed at Chicago Animal Care and Control as a skinny stray after being hit by a car. He had a fractured left hip that has since healed perfectly. You would never know he was ever injured.
Pilot’s first love in life is cuddling. He also rises to the occasion if you want to play a game of fetch or take a long walk.
Pilot is already fully housebroken and crate-trained. He has completed an obedience class with his foster mom and responds very well to training. He knows the commands sit, down, spin, touch and stay, and is in the process of learning even more commands. He is living with another dog in his foster home with whom he gets along beautifully. He has not yet been cat-tested.
While out on walks, he can be reactive to other dogs while on leash. He wears a gentle leader head harness for better control. He’s usually tailwaggingly-friendly with people, however, he can be barky with some men … especially on his home turf. So he’s looking for a dog-experienced person, couple or family who can continue his training.
Pilot is very healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and heartworm-tested. His adoption fee of $200 benefits the Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control. To meet and possibly adopt Pilot please contact his foster mom Carolyn at MrRochestersdog@outlook.com or 312-617-7029. He is being fostered in Chicago, Illinois.
