Banjo's Story...
I wanna play y’all a lil diddy, and it goes something like this; Well there was a little pup that was down on his luck and just came off a California truck. With big hopeful eyes he waited for a surprise of a forever loving family to materialize. And his name, that pup, was Banjo! And his name, that pup, was Banjo! Banjo!
Thank you, thank you! It’s just something I been working on! But I really need someone to help me focus my talents on the practicalities of life! You know all that dog stuff; sit, stay, roll-over! I am not going to be a puppy forever and I really want to invest in my future! So I have a deal for you! You give me all the love, attention, training and patience that you can, and I will give you all the puppy kisses, wiggle butt, and laughs you can stand! Sounds like a pretty solid deal to me! I might even be inspired to write a few songs about our awesome new life!
3 months old-16lbs. My adoption fee is $260 and includes; microchip, neuter rebate, reduced cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Banjo, a Portland Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
