Pedro's Story...
Vote for Pedro! If you vote for me all of your dreams lap size companionship will come true. You will be the envy of all your friends for rescuing the sweetest lil shelter dog they ever did see. We will have a really great life of cuddles, strolls around the neighborhood and naps in the laps. You'll just have to get me vote first! Ya, I can be a touch shy but all it takes is a soft voice and a gentle touch and I'll be campaigning for you in no time! I am house trained and I am doing excellent with my crate training too. I am good around children who are old enough to know how to be sweet and gentle with fragile little dudes like me. Cats are no problem for me, I get along great with the other dogs and just love to play with my toys. So what do you say? You want to nominate me for your love?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pedro, a Portland Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Portland, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
