Cowgirl is an Airedale terrier mix whose gentle nature and loving temperament will win you over in a heartbeat. She was originally brought into the shelter almost a year ago by someone who found her and could not keep her. She was adopted after a long month at the shelter, but recently returned. Apparently she was kept outside and thunderstorms scared her and caused her to dig out. They said that on the odd occasion that they brought her inside during bad weather she was fine, but they were not willing to make her an inside dog. This happy-go-lucky girl is now ready to start her new life with a new forever owner who can provide her with safety during storms.
At around 3-4 years, Cowgirl is a pro at “sit” and "down” which is not surprising, considering her cooperative and mild-mannered disposition. Her favorite pastimes include running around the yard, walking the lakes, and simply lounging in front of the TV with a good bone or a squeaker toy! At a long-legged 50 pounds, Cowgirl could be anything from a running buddy to a couch potato. She is the ideal inside family dog and she is great with anyone from children to seniors, cats and dogs.
In other words, Cowgirl is just the all-around perfect dog that would fit well into any household with love to spare. So will you give this girl her lucky break?
