Prince is a 2nd chance dog! Please share with your family and friends! Prince is looking for a forever home! Please contact me at 916-508-9418. Thank you so much for reading about our Prince; we lovingly call him Princey! Prince is 4 years old and stocky American Staffordshire Terrier. You can read about his breed here: http://www.akc.org/breeds/american_staffordshire_terrier/index.cfm
Prince has been rescued from Bakersfield, CA in February of 2013. He was running as a stray.
To date, Prince has received total of 6 months board and train training with Tug Dogs in Elverta, CA. You can get information about his trainer here: https://www.facebook.com/TeachTrainTug
Prince is a super smart, loving, loyal, and somewhat of low energy boy who wants nothing more than a family of his own. He is currently being fostered in our home. He is sharing the home with 2 male large dogs and our 8 years old autistic daughter whom he loves very much and the feeling is mutual. Some things you need to know about Prince. He enjoys family life and simple things like going for a walk, rolling on the grass and enjoying sun on his face. Prince is fully house and potty trained. He is not destructive when left alone and uses doggy door. He is not a barker and walks well on the leash. During his board and train time; he has made friends with 2 large female dogs and happily played with both. Prince is too interested in cats, so, we recommend no cats in his forever home. Prince enjoys his doggy bed and also, sleeping in our bed under the blankets. He has been known also to put his head on the pillow for an extra comfort. Prince has also shown how intuitive he is; when our daughter has a bad day, he runs to comfort her.
You are probably is wondering why we are looking for Prince’ forever home and is the reason why is that our senior pit bull mix does not like male dogs and we are currently rotating.
I need to mention to you that Prince does not like to be crated or being left behind the close doors-although, after his training; he does great in the house while we are at work. His trainer thinks that he was either locked in the kennel or left abandoned in the yard for prolong amount of time. What I have noticed that anyone who shows the kindness to him, he attaches himself to the person. He craves companionship of humans.
If you are ready to open your heart and home to Prince; please contact me. Our decision of finding him a forever home did not come easy-WE LOVE HIM but we know it is what’s best for Prince!

About No Kill CA

About Our Rescue Group...

Hi, My name is Marianna. Almost 5 years ago during my last trimester of my pregnancy, I have rescued 5 m old puppy pit bull, who was emaciated, locked in the shed, and under socialized. 2 weeks later, the puppy has prevented me from drifting into diabetic coma by waking me up while I was laying on the couch. I named him 2nd Chance, or Chancey, or Momma' Boy. As much as I have saved him, he has saved our then unborn daughter and also me.

When my daughter turned 5 months old, I have decided to start rescuing pit bulls from the public, and also, the shelters. My life has been changed forever by rescuing the most abused and neglected breed in US. I feel that now my life has a purpose. Today, I am a mom, Human Resources Professional, wife, friend, and the Rescuer. I am honored to be able to rescue pit bulls, and find them great homes.

Thank you for your time! Marianna and Chance (his B-day is Christmas).
