My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Milly's smile catches your attention! We think she is German shepherd and Husky Mix. Milly exhibits the intelligence and independence of both breeds. She is a good size girl that has a lovely coat. She loves to have attention and be petted but is not tolerant of too much affection or hanging on her. She would love being challenged and to have a job, like training class or agility. She is focused and is motivated by food more than anything else.

She is young dog who really wants to play with the other rescue dogs at her foster home, but she came to us with no doggie social skills. Milly has been at the rescue enough time that she has made lots of progress. She went to an adoption event where there were lots of other dogs of all shapes and sizes and she did GREAT! She travels in the car like a pro and enjoys car rides!

Milly has medium to high energy and has just a few basic commands under her belt, obedience class is still recommended for her. She is crate trained and house trained. She would love to be a running companion, training class participant and especially like to be by your side on exciting trips and outings!

She is a pretty dominant, confident girl who needs a strong leader. She will need someone who enjoys teaching her new things and challenging her in new environments while making her feel secure and safe. She needs a active couple or a family with older kids who had have experience with dogs. Come on out and meet Milly if you think you would have fun giving this deserving girl a chance at a FOREVER home! She is ready!
