My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Thor! Thor is a sweet, gorgeous 5 month old male GSD. He found himself out of time and out of luck behind bars. Lucky for Thor, he now has a new lease on life, and the opportunity to find that perfect furever home!

Thor is a very active boy, and will require a home where he'll get plenty of exercise and stimulation. If you're looking for a couch potato, this is NOT the dog for you! He's a big talker, and is most likely out of working lines, so he really needs an experienced home. Definitely not the right dog for a first time GSD owner.

Thor gets along well with other dogs, and loves people of all ages and sizes. He has not been around cats, but would probably not do well with them given his activety level. He has exhibited a fair amount of prey drive, which would probably make a small furry critter in the same home a bad idea.

Thor is utd on routine vaccinations, flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention. He has been neutered and microchipped.

Please Click Here to fill out an application. This is the first step in our adoption process. No adoption will be considered or discussed until this has been completed and received.

Thor must go to an indoor home where he will be an important part of the family. We do not adopt to anyone under the age of 21.

Note: Mid-South Shepherd Rescue is a no-kill, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We do not have a shelter location. Our dogs are kept in foster homes as part of a family, to help prepare them for transition into their forever homes. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please contact us by clicking on the email address to your right. We will be glad to make arrangements for a meeting.
