My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ATTENTION! We have two male 8 week old black and tan dachshund puppies. Must sign contract to have neutered at 5.5 months old (at your expense). Puppy shots started but you will need to finish these up. Adoption fee $395 each. They will not be placed together More information coming soon, but if you follow this site, you know that 8 week old pups are a rarity. Get those applications in. Pictures soon.

Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same sex in a home and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer no smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues. All our dogs are fully vetted, including all shots, wormer & flea protection, nails trimmed, the works. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training. Can you give him a happy, carefree life again?
