Ethel is a gorgeous 2 year old, 30 lb pup. Her mother was a fox and her daddy was a bear cub and you will never meet another girl like her! Of course that isn't true, but her fluffy, foxy red coat and the way she clings onto you with her two front paws makes her both adorable and unique! Despite her happy face, this girl has not had a nice life. She was abandoned with her sister Lucy when their owners moved away and left them behind. These two were forced to live in a pen outside where they braved whatever weather came their way for a whole year. Luckily, Ethel's story was heard by a kind woman who has cared for her and made her healthy again. Ethel is shy when she first meets people and other dogs but if you sit next to her for 5 minutes, you will see her true colors and how much she wants to be loved. She is happy, gentle, and a total lap dog. She rarely barks, and loves car rides and long naps. If she could have it her way, she would be laying on you all day because that is the perfect place to give you kisses and get your attention! She is great on a leash, very treat motivated and gets along with other dogs but she prefers smaller ones. She shows no interest in cats, so a home with cats would be perfect for her. She does well with kids but a low key household would be ideal for her since loud noises and fast movements around her still startle her. Ethel is adjusting wonderfully to life inside of a house and has picked out her favorite spot on the couch! She doesn't like the crate much but doesn't fuss too much about it and has not had any accidents while crated. She is doing well with house training and is working on learning some basic commands. She is a smart girl who is quickly coming out of her shell at her current foster home and she deserves so much more than what she has experienced so far in life. Consider this beauty in your heart and home and you won't regret it! ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT 615-661-5333 or firstname.lastname@example.org
