My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cashew is a 7-month old neutered male Maltese X Jack Russell Terrier blend who was rescued just prior to being turned in to a high kill shelter as his previous Owners felt he was "not a real Terrier". We were not sure by what they meant but we inducted him in to our rescue as a puppy should not spend his days in a high kill LA County shelter. Cashew is super-smart, loves to play with other dogs, is good with cats and enjoys being with gentle children over the age of 10+ years, with previous small dog experience. He is very people-orientated and would be an excellent litte Winnebago travelling companion. He crates well at night and is continuing to build his confidence. Cash walks very nicely on a leash and being only 7-lbs (and not expected to grow much bigger) is highly portable for Winnebago travelers. Cash currently accompanies his Foster Mum to work and is a hit in the office! He appears to be a non-shedder as he has inherited the hair from his Maltese side, so he will require some attention as far as regular grooming.
