THIS IS LITTLE GRACEE (she looks bigger than she is in her pictures), who came to us in awful condition from the Upland Valley "SPCA." I always thought SPCA saved animals and didn't kill them....but this little cream colored, 9 lb (she was 7.6 lbs when we got her) 3-4 yr old Maltese mix came to us with a broken pelvis and a heart defect -- that they didn't even know about -- and she was scheduled to be euthanized. They charged us a hefty $173 and she was ours. In taking xrays of her pelvis, our vet saw a defect in her heart so off to the cardiologist we went. Suffice to say, she had a PDA (congenital Patent Ductus Arteriosis), open heart surgery and now, she is fit as a fiddle....as if none of it ever happened! Gracee is a love....she is kissy, happy, active and playful and she loves to tell you all about it! She would not be good in an apartment, as she does react to some sounds...just curious and wants to join in the choir! She is not a yappy dog, just a little talkative. She loves to cuddle and be your shadow. She wants to please her humans above and beyond, so she should be easy to train. She loves her toys....and is a little selfish with them! Gracee loves to play with all dogs, big and small, and she would love to have a canine buddy of her own to keep her company when you are gone. She can be a little possessive of her stuff, but this only requires training and she will "get over it!" Because she can be a little nippy when she is guarding her stuff, another trainable trait, but for this reason, kids over 12 yrs old only. All her little quirks, minor as they are, can be fixed with training! She is VERY VERY intelligent and even seems potty trained!! (But no guarantees). Anyone who gets Gracee will be blessed indeed :)
Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

Most Sundays, unless we are doing a special event, we are at Westfield Century City Mall from 12p-4pm behind the Concierge Booth near Brooks Bros. Park in the Orange Section in the parking structure and come up the escallator and follow the signage. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!!
