Cheyenne was born in Mar 2012 and ended up as a stray in Jefferson County Animal Control a year later. She is currently in a foster home with a local rescue organization.
Cheyenne has beautiful coloring. She is a dark gray tabby with bright white around her mouth, on her neck, chest and belly, and has 4 white paws. Cheyenne is not really shy around strangers. In fact, she sometimes presents herself to visitors so they can be sure to pet her. Because of this, she would likely adapt to a new home fairly easily. When she is in the mood for some affection she will rub against your hand or face and becomes very talkative. While not particularly fond of being picked up and held, she does love getting her back and chin scratched, but may balk at getting her head scratched.
Cheyenne does like to climb and can very often be found at the top of the cat tree, but she has never gotten on the kitchen counters or on top of the refrigerator. Not to say that she won’t, but we have not witnessed that behavior. She is not really aggressive with the other cats in the household, but has been known to pick on a timid kitty that does not fight back. Cheyenne is not a social butterfly and so does not interact with the other cats in the household. Because of this she would probably be happiest as an only cat. She really just spends her time quietly napping in the kitty condo, on the back of the couch, or watching out the window. She is not much of a lap cat, but if she were the only cat in the home that could change. Right now with the other cats around she just might not want to compete for some lap time.
She is used to dogs and she just ignores them. She would be fine with dogs that are not aggressive towards her. She has not had much contact with children, but since she is not particularly cuddly and does not want to be picked up, she would probably be happiest with older children or adults.
Her adoption fee of $75.00 includes all testing, spaying, microchipping, and she is up-to-date on shots. She is all ready for her forever home.
