Wynken's Story...

Est. DOB: January 19, 2013
Description: DSH Orange and White
Gender: Female
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Wynken is full of purrs. She’s a sweet girl who likes to snuggle, sit on your lap and purr. She can be playful, but she’s still a little timid when she first meets you, so it would be good to keep her in a smaller room and slowly give her access to your entire house as she gets used to her new place.

Wynken is good with other cats, but may need a slow introduction to a new family member. She has been fostered in a home with large dogs and older children.

Wynken and her sister Blynken were pulled from a high kill shelter.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wynken, a Apex Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Apex, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Apex.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Apex already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Apex breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Apex paves the way for another one to be saved.
