Sadie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Sadie's Story...
Sweet sweet Sadie here. She's a 5 year old Shepherd mix that was surrendered to the shelter with her housemate Gabby due to the passing of her owner. Sadie has been a little shy since her arrival but they say she's a social butterfly that's very active. We're sure once she finds a home her personality will blossom again. She's fine with other dogs and cats but lived with 2 seniors so has never been around kids. That's not to say she doesn't like them. Sadie's a lovable gal that would love a new home ASAP. She can be adopted with or without her friend Gabby the Beagle.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie, a Elyria Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
