My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi There,

My name is Grizzyle Bear Adams. I am a furry black, male cocker boy with a white blaze chest and I am 1 year and 3 months old. I have this really unique name, but now I will have to get used to being called Grizzly Bear, because it is just easier. My foster daddy wanted to call me, Yoggie Bear, but foster momma said no so that I don't get confused. I have recently come to rescue because my family decided to give me up so that I could have a better life in a home where I will be loved and get the attention that I deserve. My family had this 4 year old little girl that I really loved and enjoyed being with, and then they just had another baby so they didn't really have alot of time for me anymore. My former mommy really and truly did love me, but since she now has this other baby to take care of, a 4 year old girl and she is going to school too, she and my daddy just felt that It would probably be best for me to find a new forever home.

Please don't feel bad for me, as I know that my family really did care about me and loved me alot. They got me from a Craig's Posting when I was just a baby pup. My breeder lied about me having all of my shots, and not long after they took me home, I ended up really sick with parvo. My family took me to the vet when they noticed that I just wasn't feeling well and got pretty sick and needed care. They paid the costs to get me the treatment to get me well, so I am now a healthy boy.

I am a bit scared with strange folks and I might bark at first, but then I settle down and warm up nicely. I do however have one small problem that can be corrected, as I might piddle when I get scared. But, if you let me pee first, then I am good. My new foster momma said that I was a good boy at the vet and I didn't pee when she picked me up to take me home with her. I was actually really happy to see her come back for me!! Then, once we arrived home, my eyes got kind of big when I found out that I was going to have to get used to all of my new pals, both cockers and corgi's. But, my foster momma put her arm around me and told me that she would help me to learn to adjust to this new environment, so I felt safe, loved and cared for and I just tried to be a good boy as I began to learn about all of these new things. Right after we got in the house, this little cocker boy named JT came to greet me and was all over me wanting to play. I guess I'll just have to adjust, but this is certainly a new experience for me!!!!

My ideal home will be one with older kids even though I dearly loved the 4 year old girl in my previous home. These nice rescue folks feel that due to my lack of social skills, children 10 and older would probably be best. Please give me the 2nd chance that I deserve to find a loving home where someone will give me the attention that I need right now. I would love to find someone who would adore having a best friend, and a favorite companion to spend quality time with, but also would be willing to help me to learn the new things I now need to know to easily adjust to a new environment. I would love to be your new house doggie, a best friend and a wonderful companion. If you would be willing to work with me just a little so that I can learn to adjust well and have a great life with you . . . . . then I would love to meet you!!! Hope to see ya soon, Luv, Grizzly Bear.
