My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tex’s adoption fee is $350.

Tex is a 5 yr. old Poodle/Bichon mix, roughly 18 pounds, with apricot curly fur, and a cute little cropped tail that is constantly wagging. He is an adorable little pup that impresses you constantly with his sweet easy-going nature and desire to please. He has charmed and delighted everyone he has met since his move to Tiny Paws, and has adapted easily to every situation he has been put in. Tex loves walks, romping with other dogs at the dog park, and curling up and being rubbed by his family. His favourite time to date has been hiking off leash in the valley with his foster family, chasing sticks and fetching them in the river. Although he had no idea what to do with toys when he first came to us, he is quickly learning that rubber balls and squeaky toys are a source of delight.

Tex’s new owner can expect all the behaviors of an older dog growing up in a loving family: obedient, respectful of furniture, coming when called, and staying with his family in open areas. Like most dogs, he is wary of strangers and will bark when people come to the door, but he is quick to settle. He is neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped and in good health. He is house trained, and has no difficulty making it through the night, although initially he may need to be let out more often than normal until he can adapt to his new surroundings and schedule.

Tex adds joy and calm to a household. He gets along extremely well with older children and other animals in the house, and has never shown one ounce of aggression. The single, most incredible thing about this dog is his gentleness. He is the most sweet-natured pup on the planet, and will melt anyone’s heart. He truly deserves a family that will appreciate him, give him firm but caring boundaries, consistent routines and lots of loving.
