My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jackson is such a lover! He is approximately 5 months old and full grown weigh is expected to be around 60-70lbs.

His previous owner dumped him at Miami Dade Animal Services and left him to die but now he has been rescued and given a second chance to find his forever home where someone will love him and never abandon him.

Jackson is a very intelligent dog. He knows his name, as well as sit, come, paw and "outside," (to go to the bathroom). Jackson learned all of these things in a matter of minutes. He is a food driven learner- the smellier the food, the better he responds. He also walks very well on a leash, rarely ever tugging.

He still needs to go outside frequently since he is a puppy. He usually walks around the door when he has to go outside. He has not had any accidents since the first two days of beginning fostering. He can make it through the night without an accident and is being crate trained.

Jackson is such a sweet and sensitive dog. He really enjoys the company of people and other dogs . He's especially sensitive to tone of voice. If he misbehaves, he responds to a stern "no," and if I raise my voice louder than that, he becomes very frightened.
He is dog friendly with both males and females. Jacksons 6 year old Dobie foster brother and him get along quite well. Jackson does not harass him or step all over him.

He is not an overly energetic dog either. Rather, he has short bursts of energy and he spends most of his time chewing on bones and snuggling with his foster brother.

Jackson has no food or toy aggression towards me or my dog. He takes treats gently out of my hand. He does not chew on furniture.
Jackson LOVES and does GREAT with young little kids as well! Gives them gentle kisses and lets them pet him and wags his tail.

He is not a barker, but does make strange noises here and there when he is bored. He alerts me when people are around my home, but does not go into crazy barking fits.
